GMS student, William, is a part of the Ninnescah Valley 4-H Club. He used an estimated 6,000 building blocks to build a project titled, "Clover Hotel." The Hotel won Grand Champion at the Sedgwick County Fair this summer, and sits on a custom display case that William built as his woodworking project, which won Reserve Grand Champion.
William is very creative when it comes to Legos. He loves building different Lego creations for his Lego City and decided his city needed a hotel. He spent approximately a year collecting pieces and building the hotel. His favorite part of the hotel is the working elevator which is controlled by a remote.
When a Lego creation gets chosen to go to the State Fair in Hutchinson, they like for the creation to be in a display box. This lead to his woodworking project - a Lego Display Table.
4-H is a great way to show your creativity through different activities - building blocks, photography, wood working, raising animals, etc. You can also help your community by volunteering to pick up trash or making cards for Nursing Homes.
Great job, William! Your hard work and dedication paid off!
