"A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results." – Wade Boggs
Congratulations to Mrs. Robin Perkins for receiving the District Attitude Award! Robin was nominated by Piper White and Dane Baxa. Piper White wrote, “The print shop is not an easy or stress-free environment especially when you get multiple orders each day from all around the district, but Robin does so with a smile on her face. At the beginning of the year (or her busiest time) she and her staff worked so hard to make sure all staff had the orders before the first day of school. On top of just getting us the orders she also wrote positive messages that always leave us smiling. Robin communicates effectively, and if there is ever a rush order needed, she is not afraid of the challenge. Robin is a rock star!”
Dane Baxa wrote, “Robin Perkins stepped up to help the District in a big way after the sudden loss of Nancy Johnson. Robin is more than just a skilled Print Shop operator; she’s a problem-solver who brings positivity and energy to her work every day. She often anticipates the needs of teachers, administrators, and staff, frequently stepping in to assist with last-minute requests and high-volume projects without hesitation. Her reliability and willingness to do whatever it takes to support others have made her an invaluable resource.
She developed a plan to visit every school during orientation, making a personal connection with as many staff members as possible, building positive relationships, and explaining the services she provides and the process for submitting print jobs.
Beyond her exceptional technical abilities, Robin’s attitude exemplifies the values of our district. Her commitment to excellence and genuine kindness uplift everyone she works with. She is always quick to offer encouragement, inspiring our Community Relations Team and those around her.”

This will help us keep track of students, and who is coming into the building. Please have this form filled out by Thursday, October 10th. Please note: if your student will be leaving with a grandparent after the social - you must include that in the form (there is a section). Grandparents will sign the student out with their homeroom teacher.
For the Ice Cream Social, we will have helpers up front to direct everyone where to go. We will call students down by grade to meet Grandparents in the Cafeteria. After you enjoy your ice cream and get your photos taken, be sure to have Grandparents stop by the Book Fair!

Introducing our 3rd grade Presidential Cabinet!
The third grade classes did a cross curriculum unit tying together ELA and Social Studies. In ELA they studied Government, Winning the Right to Vote and Elections. In Social Studies, they read about Our Democracy, the 3 branches and incorporated the 2024 Election Magazine. These classes held a 3 week campaign where they wrote campaign letters, gave speeches, made buttons, campaign posters and eventually voted (in a "real" voting booth) and elected our Presidents and Vice Presidents.
Our Presidents and Vice Presidents will work with our Earhart Cares team to collect and pack care packages to send to veterans, have opportunities to help around the school, and learn new leadership skills!
We are so proud of all of our 3rd graders for participating and helping their classmates. We can't wait to see what comes next!

Ms. Osborne's class participated in the Potato Olympics!
"The Potato Olympic project incorporated cross-curricular assignments (informational reading, higher-level thinking questions, opinion writing, and math) along with the physical challenge of playing games. The potato athletes and their coaches participated in the following events: Distance, Ring Toss, Bowling, Breakdancing, and Long Jump. "
Congrats to all of the hardworking participants, and a special congrats to Ali (Jesse) And Chloe (Zoe) for taking home the Gold! How fun is this?!
