Student Council is the student governing body of Goddard Middle School. Its function is to promote appropriate activities, to provide for the constructive expression of student opinions on appropriate issues, to foster the virtues of good citizenship, to provide an opportunity for students to participate in democratic self-government, to foster attitudes of good feeling between students and staff and to assist in the promotion of good school-community relations.
Student Council consists of six 7th grade students and six 8th grade students. Student Council representatives are selected in the spring through an application process that includes grades, attendance and behavior criteria followed by a voting process in which eligible students are elected by their peers.
Student Council meets during Pride Time and before/after school. Student Council sponsors a variety of activities throughout the school year.
