New Student Buddies are students who act as "buddies" to our new students. These buddies work closely with the counselor to ensure a smooth transition for those students new to the district. A minimum of six 7th grade students and six 8th grade students are selected as New Student Buddies based on teacher recommendations.

Every new student is assigned a buddy who will share the same Pride Time – and possibly other classes – with the new student. The new student buddy will review the student handbook with the new student, eat lunch with the student, provide a tour for the student and introduce the student to teachers and fellow students.
